Process flow of Coil color coating line–Coating Curing

After coating, the strip enters curing oven for heating and curing. The strip temperature rises continuously after entering the oven. During the solvent evaporation section, the strip temperature rises slowly, and when the coating starts to aggregate, the strip temperature rapidly rises to the aggregation temperature, and thus, the whole curing process is completed.

The curing time of strip in the oven is determined according to parameters of strip thickness, coating type, coating thickness and curing temperature. Changing the unit speed can get different curing time. The temperature in oven is usually controlled within 250-350ºC, if the oven temperature is different, the maximum surface temperature (PMT) of metal (strip) is different, and the oven temperature and its distribution are determined according to the parameters of strip thickness, coating type, coating thickness and unit speed.
